Corporate Training Venue Amenities
If you're planning corporate training event for your company, the first thing you'll need to do is decide on the perfect venue. Although there are several different types of spaces from which you can choose, look for one that offers all of the amenities you'll need to host a smooth event from start to finish.
When choosing the ideal venue, consider whether employees will be traveling from other parts of the country or even the world to attend the training event. If so, make sure the space that you choose is close to plenty of accommodation options in a range of price points. Some ideas include hotels, motel and even bed and breakfast inns. It's important that the venue is within walking distance of the lodging, or that public transportation, such as buses or taxis, are readily available.
For added convenience, you may be able to book a conference or meeting room in a hotel, so that your attendees are already onsite. Check with the hotel's event team to see if a discount is available when you reserve a block of rooms. As an added bonus, choose a hotel that also offers a free shuttle to and from the airport.
Here are some additional corporate training venue amenities to look for:
1. Concierge Services
If you go with a hotel venue, look for lodging that offers a comprehensive concierge service. Staff will be on hand to help event attendees with everything from luggage transport to local restaurant recommendations.
They may also help you load and unload conference equipment, such as projectors and lighting elements, as needed. If you need to rent these items, they can also point you in the right direction.
2. Catering Services
Another plus when choosing the ideal corporate training venue is onsite catering. If the event is taking place all day, you'll need to provide your attendees with breakfast and lunch, with light snacks in between. A beverage service, complete with a selection of coffee and teas, is also an important way to keep the attendees fueled throughout the event.
If the venue doesn't provide catering services, ask the event team to recommend a local catering company that you can use.
3. Technology
Technology will also play an important role in your training event. To effectively convey information to a large group of people, you'll need a venue that can provide a fully-integrated audio and visual system, built-in LCD projectors and screens, and free Wi-Fi.
In addition, make sure the venue has enough space to comfortably accommodate all guests, complete with breakout rooms and private work stations.
