Making Your Event More Fabulous

About Me

Making Your Event More Fabulous

As soon as I purchased a place of my own, I decided that it would be incredible to throw a few fun parties. Instead of holding small family get-togethers, I started planning all-out bashes that would really help my family and friends to cut loose. The events were very memorable, fun, and exciting. After planning a few successful parties, I decided to work with a professional to make my events even more fabulous. Overnight, my parties changed for the better. Friends started commenting on the interesting themes and great food. This blog is all about making your next party truly special.

Planning A Big Event? 4 Tips To Help You Get The Seating Right

If you're planning a major event, you need to consider the seating. Problems with the seating arrangements can throw off the entire event. The best way to avoid problems with the seating is to spend extra time on the planning phase. Here are some tips that will help you ensure proper seating for your event.

Plan for Transitions

If your guests will be seated throughout the event, you won't need to worry about transitions. However, if you're planning your wedding, for example, and the venue will be used for both the ceremony and the reception, you'll need to plan for transitions. The best way to do that is to arrange the tables in the back of the venue so that chairs can be moved after the wedding ceremony. That way, your initial ceremony seating can be set up in rows while still allowing for a quick transition to the tables to provide plenty of room for dancing and entertaining during the reception.

Consider Special Accommodations

When choosing the chairs for your event, you'll need to consider special accommodations. This is particularly important if you've decided to use bleachers for your event. While bleachers provide plenty of seating for larger events, they don't afford proper accommodations for people with mobility issues or families with young children. When making arrangements for your event seating, be sure to include chairs for those attendees who won't be able to navigate the bleachers you've ordered.

Avoid Overcrowding

If you're going to have tables set up for your event, you'll want to take steps to avoid overcrowding. When setting up for events, people often try to place as many chairs as possible around each table. While this may reduce the number of tables you need to rent, it can result in overcrowding. Unfortunately, overcrowded tables can lead to unhappy and uncomfortable guests. The best way to avoid overcrowding is to rent additional tables. This will allow you to place fewer chairs at each table.

Go Over on Your Estimate

Now that you're planning the seating arrangements for your event, make sure you have enough space for all your guests. The last thing you want is to run out of seating for your attendees. The best way to avoid that issue is to go over on your estimate. Once you have your guest list in place, add a few extra chairs to your rental order. That way, you have the additional seating you need should a few extra guests arrive.
